57 new cases of COVID-19 and 133 recoveries in 24 hours

Kathmandu / Feb. 13: With 57 new cases of the novel coronavirus confirmed on Saturday, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 272,614.

“In 1,900 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 57 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily update.

Currently, there are 1,631 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation. A total of 1,631 are receiving treatment in various institutional isolation.

There is no fatalities in the past 24 hours and recoveries numbers were 133.

A total of 81 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.

Meanwhile, 118 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 268,929 cases of recovery and the recovery rate at 98.7 per cent.
