141 new cases of COVID-19 and 82 recoveries in 24 hours

Kathmandu / Mar. 29: The Ministry of Health and Population on Monday confirmed 141 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation’s novel coronavirus tally to 276,980.

“In 3,122 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 141 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2,” updated the Ministry of Health and Population in its website.

Currently, there are 1,341 active cases of COVID-19. Likewise, a total of 56 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.

Meanwhile, 82 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 272,612 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98.4 per cent.

Moreover, no fatalities related to COVID-19 was confirmed in Nepal in the last 24 hours. Currently, the COVID-19 death toll stands at 3,027.
