Nepal records 238 new cases, 370 recoveries and one death

Kathmandu / Nov 21: Nepal recorded 238 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday along with 370 recoveries and one death, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

As many as 9,123 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 273 PCR and six antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 7,442 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 6,696 are in home isolation, 468 in institutional isolation, 227 in ICU’s and 51 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,496 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile the Kathmandu Valley recorded 130 cases of the virus on Sunday. Of them, 98 were recorded in Kathmandu, eight in Bhaktapur and 24 in Lalitpur districts.
