Indian train carrying pilgrims arrives in Janakpur

Kathmandu / June 23: An Indian train carrying pilgrims has reached Janakpurdham, the capital city of Madhesh Province. The train named ‘Bharat Gaurav AC Tourist’ arrived at the Janakpurdham railway station on Thursday afternoon.

The train left New Delhi, the federal capital city of India, on Tuesday evening and reached the Janakpurdham railway station, after going through Nandigram, Banaras, Prayagraj, Chitrakuta, Nashik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Ayodhya, Sitamarhi and Jayanagar under the Ramayana Circuit.

Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Shatrudhan Mahato and Mahantha Ramat Peshwar Das of Janaki Mandir welcomed the Indian tourists after the arrival of the train.

There are 600 religious tourists on the train. All of them will be accommodated in Janakpurdham on Thursday.
