Kathmandu / June 30: The Department of Industry (DoI) has now gone into a paperless system, allowing the service-seekers to process the official works related to firm registration and renewal and investment approval via an online system.

According to the DoI, since Wednesday, it has introduced software named ‘Industry Management Information System’ for the purpose. “The new software will enable the service seekers to perform almost all the work starting from industry registration to the final certification through online platforms,” said Ram Chandra Tiwari, director general of the DoI.

According to him, the DoI has planned to integrate the province-based cottage and small industry offices to the online system in the second phase.
