Traffic police erasing rhythmic couplets, ghazals written on public transport vehicles

Kathmandu / July 7: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has launched a campaign to remove obscene, indigestible, abusive, illegal and distortive poems, ghazals and various articles written on public transport vehicles.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police has removed the contents written on different parts of the vehicles after finding that they had diverted the driver’s attention and caused accidents.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, it has been launched as a campaign as it is not allowed to disseminate or write poetry, poetry or any kind of material insulting and disrespecting women, children and marginalized communities.

The obscene and ambiguous articles have increased the social and mental disturbance, violence and perversion and have also inflamed the street civilization, prompting the traffic police to stop such activities.

Similarly, the traffic police have informed the drivers not to stick stickers or any other promotional material on the windscreen. The traffic police have also banned the drivers from placing decorative items and music systems in the cabin.
