EC decides to provide weeklong period for parties to amend PR list

Kathmandu / Sept. 11: The Election Commission (EC) Nepal has decided to provide a weeklong period for the political parties to amend the closed list of their candidates submitted under the proportional representation electoral system.

Guru Prasad Wagle, an EC Spokesperson for the proportional representation system, issued a statement to this effect on Sunday.

The EC has set the period between September 26 to October 2 for the parties to amend and submit the closed list of candidates for the PR election category.

Earlier, the EC has already determined that the parties should submit the closed list of PR candidates from September 18 to 19 and information in this regard has also been published in the Nepal gazette.

As per the election schedule, the EC notify the parties to amend their list if errors are found in it in between September 20 and 25.
