Going home in Dashain: 80 thousand bus tickets booked in 10 days

Kathmandu / Sept 26: As many as 80,000 tickets for the public buses have been booked in the last ten days by the people leaving Kathmandu for their hometown to celebrate Dashain.

Bijaya Kumar Swar, Chairperson of Nepal National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs, said that by Monday afternoon number of tickets booked has reached eighty thousand.

The highest number of tickets has been booked by those heading for the western part of the country.

Passengers of Pyuthan, Dang, Bajhang, Kailali, Doti, Mahendra Nagar and Dhangadi have booked the greatest number of tickets.

Booking is going on even now. So, the number is likely to rise more, he said.
