Sandeep Lamichhane arrested from TIA

Kathmandu / Oct 6: Sandeep Lamichhane, the suspended captain of the Nepali national cricket team who was accused of rape has been arrested by the police from the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA).

He was detained by the police after he landed at TIA from a Qatar Airways flight Thursday morning.

Earlier, through his Facebook handle, he had said that he would land at TIA at 10AM on Thursday. He was taken to the Gaushala police station immediately after he was arrested. A girl had filed a rape complaint against him on September 6.
