Govt decides to provide two pieces of Shila from Kaligandaki to Janaki Temple

Kathmandu / Dec. 19: The government has decided to provide two pieces of Shila from the Kaligandaki River area to the Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham.

Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, the government spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology, informed on Monday that a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Sunday made this decision.

The cabinet also decided to allow the use of forest area to install a transmission line of 220 VK for the Nilgiri Hydropower Project.

Likewise, the government also decided to permit the use of the forest area for constructing the Upper Fawakhol Hydropower project.

Minister Karki said that the Cabinet meeting decided to include additional conditions for hydropower projects to be built in protected forest areas.
