8 Lakhs earning a year from honey bee farming

Amrit Prasad Paudel / Myagdi, Jan 13: Dil Bahadur Khatri of Beni Municipality-4 has been earning Rs 8 lakhs from honey bee farming. He has 25 honeycombs for this year.
Khatri informed that he got 60 per cent profit from each honeycomb.
He is expecting to produce 250 kg honey from 79 honeycomb this year.
The beekeeper said that selling price of fresh honey ranges from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,300 a kg.
Khatri informed that Agriculture Knowledge Center had supported grant for his farm few years back.
