Govt responds to farmers’ woes, increases milk price

Kathmandu / Mar. 3: Government has hiked the price of Milk.

A Cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to increase the price of milk to Rs. 65.5 from Rs. 56.4 per liter.

Narendra KC, Communication Expert for the Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, informed that the cabinet meeting decided to increase the price of the milk.

The government has decided to increase the milk price to respond to the farmers’ complaints about too low milk price compared to the cost of production.

It is expected the new price of the milk will ease the difficulty of the farmers.
