Ram Chandra Paudel is new president of Nepal

Kathmandu / March 13: President Ram Chandra Paudel was administered the oath of office and secrecy at Sheetal Niwas amid a special function today. Paudel who was elected to the top post on March 9 is officially Nepal’s new president.

Nepal’s constitution has specified a provision that the president shall take the oath of office and secrecy from the Chief Justice before assuming office.

Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki has administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-elected president.
