We have prioritised changes in law related to CIT sector: Minister Sharma

Kathmandu / Mar. 19: Minister for Communication and Information Technology (CIT) Rekha Sharma has said that the government has prioritized changes in laws pertaining to the CIT sector.

The minister said so while addressing the first meeting of the Committee to Suggest on Mass Media.

She said that the committee was formed to solicit recommendation as there are many laws yet to be formulated on the mass media sector in line with the spirit of the constitution and the political change.

“Political system has changed, constitution has been changed and laws have also been changed in many sectors,” she said, “But change of law is yet to be carried out in the CIT sector, so we have pushed it forward with due priority.”

She expressed hope that the committee will consider national as well as global scenario and provide invaluable suggestions with regard to the issues to be included and excluded in the CIT laws.
