Govt at work to implement people’s health related rights, Health Minister says

Kathmandu / June 29 : Minister for Health and Population Mohan Bahadur Basnet today said the government was at work to implement people’s fundamental rights related to health as provisioned in the constitution.

The minister sought help of all in implementing the campaign on health sector launched by the government while inspecting the Reiyukai Eiko Masunaga Eye Hospital in Banepa in Kavrepalanchok district.

“The constitution has guaranteed free basic health service to each citizen of the state. No one will be deprived of emergency health service and each citizen has a right to take information about their medical treatment.”

On the occasion, Hiramani Sharma, general secretary of the hospital board of directors, apprised the minister of services provided by the hospital. Similarly, the minister talked with patients about services offered by the hospital.
Established in 2007, the hospital has received around 300 patients on a daily basis, said Sharma. RSS
