Ruling parties decide to propose NC’s Uddhav Thapa as Koshi CM

Kathmandu / July 3: The ruling coalition has decided to put forth proposal at the Koshi Provincial Assembly for electing Uddhav Thapa, a lawmaker of the assembly from the Nepali Congress, to the post of chief minister.

Rajendra Prasad Pande, vice-chair of the CPN (Unified Socialist) informed that the meeting of the ruling coalition held at Baluwatar today decided to make candidate for the Koshi province chief minister from the ruling parties.

He said that both the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) had claimed for the post but the meeting decided in favour of the NC and an agreement has been made to propose parliamentary party leader of the NC at the Koshi provincial assembly Thapa as the chief minister.
