More than Rs 3.3 mln corruption case filed against Officer of BPKIHS

Kathmandu / Sept. 11: The corruption case of Rs 3.32 million has been filed against Tej Narayan Sah, the officer of the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) at Dharan, Sunsari.

Bhola Dahal, Spokesperson at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) said that Shah collected Rs 3.32 million money from unauthorized electric charges from businessmen operating under CIAA.

The press brief from CIAA read that by misusing the electric tariff server and issuing the wrong bill vouchers, failing to deposit the amount collected in the account of commission, the collected money was embellished.

According to CIAA, the charge sheet was filed in Special Court, Kathmandu on Monday, demanding punishment and fines as per the crime committed under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.
