World longest rafting to be held in Karnali

Kathmandu / Dec 3: 248 km long international rafting competition ‘The Great Karnali Quest’ to be held in Karnali from March 8 to 13 March.

Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies, Nepal River Conservation Trust and Karnali Basin Conservation Foundation are organizing the The Great Karnali Quest, 2024.

In a press meet organize in Kathmandu on Sunday, Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) informed that this international level competition will help for promotion of tourism of Karnali. Further informed that this is open for 16 teams from 5 to 24 February. 6 teams have confirmed its participation thus far.

Chairperson of The Great Karnali Quest Megh Ale in a press meet said that this competition will help for promoting brand of karnali, economic tourism, and boost tourism potentional in Karnali. He said that government should help conserve karnali river.

Chairperson Ale informed that 6 teams are participating in the competition. He said contender will have to pay 450 dollar for participation.

Chairperson of Nepal Association of Rafting Agency Shiva Adhikari said that all should unite together to get it success.
