PM directs BPKIHS vice-chancellor to immediately call executive body meeting

Kathmandu / Jan 21: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has instructed the vice-chancellor of the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences to immediately call the meeting of the executive committee.

PM Prachanda called BPKIHS acting vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Prahlad Karki at his office at Singha Durbar and made the instructions.

“Please don’t call the office bearers in Kathmandu, you need to go to Dharan (where the BPKIHS is located). And fix the date of interview and make the decision to forward the proposal of amendment to regulations to the senate,” PM Prachanda told vice-chancellor Kari, according to the PM’s secretariat.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Prachanda also telephoned Minister for Health and Population Mohan Bahadur Basent to direct him to determine the date of senate meeting within 21 days starting from today as per the existing laws.

Earlier, PM Prachanda along with Health Minister Basnet had on January 16 listened to the concerns of the BPKIHS teacher, employees and doctors and then directed Minister Basnet to settle issues as raised in the meeting.
