Nepal defeats Canada in second ODI to clinch series

Kathmandu / Feb 10: Nepal defeated Canada in the second ODI match by four wickets to clinch the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead at home ground on Saturday.

The hosts successfully chased the target of 286 runs set by Canada at the TU Cricket Ground with 29 balls to spare, losing only 6 wickets in the process.

Captain Rohit Paudel led the charge with an impressive 87 runs, supported by Dev Khanal’s 76 runs and Anil Kumar Shah’s 50 runs. Bhim Sarki and Pawan Sharraf also contributed to Nepal’s win with 23 and 14 runs, respectively.

Earlier, Aaron Johnson’s 65 runs off 62 balls helped Canada set a modest target of 285 runs for nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Rohit Paudel and Kushal Malla bagged two wickets each for Nepal.
