Nepal beat Netherlands by 9 wickets

Kathmandu / Feb 17: Nepal registered a nine-wicket victory over the Netherlands on Saturday in the 2nd Match under ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 in Kirtipur.

Batting first Netherlands scored 137 runs before being all out in 38.6 overs.

In response, Nepal chased the target of 138 runs in 15.2 overs by scoring 141 runs with 208 balls remaining, losing 1 wicket.

To register a huge win Nepali batsmen duo Anil Sah and Aasif Sheikh scored half-centuries 57 and 54 runs respectively. Before that Kushal Bhurtel scored 28 runs.

Earlier, to pack up the Netherlands in just 137, Nepali bowler Kushal Bhurtel took 4 wickets alone and Lalit Rajbanshi took two wickets. Similarly, Rohit Paudel and Sompal Kami tool a wicket each.
