Bharatpur Metropolis Mayor Dahal honoured with International Mayor Award in UK

Karun Aryal / London, Mar 8: Mayor of the Bharatpur Metropolitan City Renu Dahal has been honored with an International Mayor Award amidst a ceremony organised at The House of Commons, the federal parliament building, of the United Kingdom (UK) in London.

The International Mayor Award of Political and Public Life Award, 2024, was given to Mayor Dahal in the function jointly organised by the Economic Policy Group and Member of British Parliament Valerie Vaz on Thursday.

Mayor of London Sadik Khan handed over the award to Mayor Dahal. Khan himself received a local government award.

It was informed in the function that Mayor Dahal was graced with the prestigious award for her remarkable and significant contribution to the overall development of the Bharatpur metropolis.

Mayor Dahal, while receiving the prestigious award, said that this award has further energised and encouraged her to do additional work for the residents of her metropolis and country and thanked the organisers for recognizing her work.
