Home ministry introduces online pass system to enter Singha Durbar

Kathmandu / April 29: Singha Durbar, the country’s main administrative center, is adopting an easy and technology-friendly approach to entry management. For this purpose, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has announced the introduction of an online entry pass system called the Singhadurbar Smart Gate Pass.

Starting today, a trial run of the e-gate pass system is being implemented for individuals entering the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA). This initiative aims to streamline entry procedures and enhance convenience for visitors accessing Singha Durbar.

According to home ministry Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, individuals can request an e-gate pass with a QR code through a dedicated website.

Upon approval by the MoHA, applicants will receive the e-gate pass, which must be presented for entry into Singha Durbar.

The e-gate pass can be obtained by visiting the website ‘singhadurbarpass.gov.np’.

Following the trial phase, the e-gate pass system will be extended to all ministries and agencies within Singha Durbar, as per the MoHA’s statement.
