House deadlock will be ended through consensus: PM Dahal; JSP withdraws support to government

Chitwan / May 13: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed his confidence that the deadlock in parliament will end soon.

PM Dahal, also the chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), said this while talking to party cadres here in eastern Chitwan today. He said that formal and informal talks were in progress with party leaders regarding resuming the House proceedings and that these talks will give results very soon.

He further shared that they will reach a conclusion to end the House deadlock by this evening.

JSP withdraws support to government

Meanwhile, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has withdrawn its support to the government.

Party’s lawmaker Raj Kishor Yadav said that after pulling out from the government, Party’s Central Executive Committee decided to withdraw support to the government on Monday.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, tendered his resignation from the post today.

He submitted a resignation letter to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ this morning.
