Dr Govinda KC breaks hunger strike

Kathmandu / May 16 : Dr Govinda KC has ended his 22nd hunger strike.

Dr KC, who has been on a hunger strike since May 11, was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj on Wednesday evening due to his deteriorating health.

Dr Dinesh Kafle reported that Dr KC’s blood glucose levels had significantly decreased, his heart rate had become irregular, and he was experiencing urinary retention. Medical professionals indicated that Dr KC required immediate ICU treatment to prevent life-threatening complications.

In light of these health concerns, Dr KC has decided to suspend his hunger strike.
