Gandaki CM Pandey wins vote of confidence

Gandaki / June 10: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, has received a vote of confidence of the provincial assembly. The proposal seeking a vote of confidence tabled by Chief Minister Pandey in today’s meeting of the Gandaki Province Assembly was passed with majority.

A total of 31 votes were cast in favour of the proposal while 28 against it. Twenty-seven members of the Nepali Congress, two of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, one independent PA member and Phanindra Devkota of the CPN (Maoist Centre) had cast votes in favour of CM Pandey.

Gandaki PA members of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (UML) had chanted slogans at the Province Assembly after Devkota crossed the floor to cast vote in favour of CM Pandey.
