Minister Bhandari urges WB to help create internal employment

Kathmandu / Aug 1: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, has urged the World Bank to support in government’s plan of creating internal employment and to reduce forced foreign employment.

During the meeting with World Bank’s Country Director for Nepal, David Sislen, at the Ministry today, Minister Bhandari mentioned that the government has made a plan of making internal employment sustainable and to end the forced foreign employment.

On the occasion, he explained that all employment service centres established in local levels would be strengthened, and they would be developed as ‘job hub’ with the collaboration and technical support of development partners.

Similarly, Sislen shared that the WB is always ready to support through ‘Country Partnership Programme’ to create internal employment.

Both of them discussed on the matter of increasing internal employment as well as sustaining and empowering employment service centre, said Spokesperson at the Ministry, Govinda Prasad Rijal.RSS
