Govt will be unable to provide old age allowance in 10 years: Health Minister Paudel

Kathmandu / Sept 18: Health Minister Pradip Paudel has expressed concerns that the government will no longer be able to provide old age allowances within the next 10 years if the current trends continue.

Speaking at the 27th Ganesh Man Singh Memorial Day event in Lalitpur, Paudel said that the need to shift focus towards preventive healthcare is more important than ever. He said that society is more focused on treating illness rather than preventing it.

Minister Paudel also highlighted the growing number of people over 50 in Nepal and stressed the importance of promoting healthier lifestyles, especially in relation to food and nutrition.
