Medical entrepreneur Prasai arrested


Kathmandu / Nov 19: Police arrested medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai on Tuesday from his residence in Bhaktapur.

A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police reached Prasai’s residence and arrested him. Hobindra Bogati, spokesperson and Superintendent of Police (SP) of the CIB, confirmed that Prasai has been arrested on the charge of cyber crime.

Prasai held a press conference on Monday and released some documents claiming that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has an investment of nearly Rs 32 billion in a telecom company in Cambodia.

Those documents have not been fact-checked yet. Those close to the UML and Oli are claiming that these documents are forged.
