Nepal announces squad for ACC U-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup


Kathmandu / Jan 05: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the Nepali squad for the ACC U-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup Under the captaincy of Puja Mahato.

The 15-member squad made public on Saturday includes vice-captain Soni Pakhrin, Sana Pravin, Jyotsinka Marasini, Kusum Godar, Sabitra Dhami, Krishma Gurung, Riya Sharma, Simana KC, Sneha Mahara, Kirankumari Kunwar, Rachana Chaudhary, Trishna BK, Anu Kadayat, and Elisa Kumari Yadav.

Nepal qualified for their maiden ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup after they climbed to the top of the four-team Asia Qualifier in November last year.

The tournament will take place in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, featuring 16 teams.

Nepal is in Group D alongside Bangladesh, Australia, and Scotland. Nepal’s first match is scheduled for January 18 against Bangladesh, followed by games against Scotland on January 20 and Australia on January 22.
