RSP forms Constitution Refinement Suggestion Taskforce


Kathmandu / Jan 5: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has formed a Constitution Refinement Suggestion Taskforce to suggest constitution amendment in view the context of necessary amendments to the constitution.

The taskforce has been formed under the coordination of Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar, party’s acting spokesperson Manish Jha said.

According to him, the taskforce will hold necessary discussions in all the seven provinces and make public the party’s views after holding discussions with all the concerned partners and constitutional experts.

The taskforce comprises Kantishikha Dhital, Dr Nandan Yadav, Ganesh Karki, Sobhita Gautam, Asim Saha, Dr Toshima Karki, Dr Achyutam Lamichhane and Megh Ale.

The party’s provincial presidents will be the coordinators of the discussion programme the taskforce will hold in all the seven provinces.

Meanwhile, RSP Central Committee’s meeting is underway for the second day today at the Star Venue at local Swoyambhu.

Acting spokesperson Jha said that the second day’s meeting will discuss the constitution amendment and interpretation of the preamble and the future course of action for all-round development.

Discussions will be held on the future course of action and programme schedule based on the party president’s political report, he added.

Similarly, discussions will be held on the restructuring of the party’s central committee, advisory committee, advisory council and central department. The meeting will also discuss the amendment of the party’s meeting operation procedure and code of conduct. RSS
