Govt will make all possible efforts for sports sector development: PM Oli


Kathmandu / Jan.7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government has made the possible efforts for the development of the sports sector.

PM said so while wishing the medal winners, trainers, and officials of the International Sports Competition at a program organized at the office of Prime Minister, Baluwatar.

The PM said, “Women’s sports are still new in Nepal. Earlier, football was the popular attraction but gradually cricket has stepped up claiming a place in the hearts of sports lovers. It looks like there is some kind of competition in football and cricket. Both sports are popular among the new generation and they rejoice in it. I wish you all progress and hope that you keep on bagging other big achievements in the future.”

He said that Nepal needs to bag other big achievements in the future.

He said, “There is a tremendous role of trainers in the sports. One needs to move ahead by correcting the mistakes. Improvement needs to be made by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of players.”
