Foreign Minister Dr Rana urges NRNs for unity

Kathmandu / May 3: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has urged the non-resident Nepalis to foster unity. Addressing the unity general convention of the non-resident Nepalis’ Association (NRNA) in Kathmandu today, Minister Rana spoke against politics and factionalism in the organization and requested NRNA to come under a single umbrella.

“Irrespective of your affiliation to any political party, the organization should be away from party politics to keep it intact,” she reminded, urging further activism for unity. Even the ministry could facilitate the togetherness of different groups in the organization, she vowed.

The unity convention is being held with the spirit that country is above the organization, according to her.

The Foreign Minister appreciated the role the NRNA played to make known the Nepali culture, cuisine and identity across the globe. She also reminded that NRNA could boost investment in Nepal, which would be helpful to accelerate economic growth.

According to her, a unit was set up at Foreign Ministry to look after the Nepali diaspora. RSS
