Limited group abusing billions in capital market: FM Dr. Wagle

Kathmandu / May 12: Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has viewed that a limited group has earned massive property abusing people’s money, through insider trading and deception in capital market.

Speaking at the meeting of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, FM Dr. Wagle said there exists situation which forces us to accept the reality that limited individuals have control over financial and economic institutions.

The Finance Minister said that the government had an objective to develop capital market as per commercial, transparent and global standard.

Some groups have power to create artificial influence in the capital market and thus even influence the political leadership, said the Finance Minister.

Finance Minister Dr. Wagle said that the government had kept good governance as the guiding principle for all activities and that a basis for good governance will be created within this year.
