NC’s Senior leader Gopalman Shrestha passes away

Kathmandu, July 28: Senior leader of Nepali Congress Gopalman Shrestha has died today.

NC’s General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire informed that Shrestha passed away today during treatment in Helios Hospital, Jawalakhel of Lalitpur.

Shrestha who worked in the role of Acting President, Vice President of Nepali Congress was suffering from cancer. He was being treated at the ICU of helios hospital, Lalitpur.

His body will remained in NC’s central office, Sanepa on Wednesday to pay tribute before the last rite in Pushapati Aryaghat, according to Ghimire .

NC’s Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma informed that Shrestha died at the age of 83.

Shrestha’s mortal remains will be kept at the party central office Sanepa, Lalitpur tommorow on Wednesday to pay last tribute by party leader, cadres and well wishers.

The party has called an emergency meeting at 8:30 am on Wednesday. The meeting is sheduled to endorse a condolence motion over the demise of the party senior leader Shrestha.
