Indian Army Chief Dhiraj Seth arrives in Kathmandu

Kathmandu / Aug. 16: Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday for a four-day visit to Nepal at the formal invitation of Chief of the Staff of Nepali Army (NA) Ashok Raj Sigdel.
According to Nepali Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Rajaram Basnet, Seth’s visit has two main objectives: receiving the honorary rank of General of the Nepal Army and strengthening military relations between Nepal and India.
President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to confer the honorary rank insignia on Seth at a ceremony at Sheetal Niwas on Monday. He will also hold bilateral talks with General Sigdel at the Nepali Army Headquarters on Monday. He is scheduled to return to India on Wednesday.
