PM, Cabinet member to donate one-month salary

Kathmandu / Aug. 28: The government has decided to deposit one month’s salary and remuneration of Prime Minister Balendra Shah and all members of the Cabinet into the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting held on Friday, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat informed in a statement.
The meeting also decided to instruct the Ministry of Finance to prepare a relief and rehabilitation package for individuals and businesses affected by the floods, including those in Rasuwagadhi along the Nepal-China border, the Bhote Koshi River and downstream areas.
The meeting further decided to grant approval in-principle to the Agricultural Inputs Company Limited to procure 25,000 tonnes of DAP fertiliser from India through a government-to-government (G2G) arrangement.
