PM Shah, RSP Prez Lamichhane discuss search, rescue operations; PM Shah holds meeting with chiefs of security agencies

Kathmandu / Aug. 31: Prime Minister Balendra Shah and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane held a meeting on Sunday afternoon to discuss the government’s ongoing efforts to manage the post-disaster situation.

The meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

The meeting discussed the government’s ongoing search and rescue operations, relief distribution and efforts to manage affected citizens in areas impacted by flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, the Prime Minister’s secretariat informed.

They also discussed the rescue and relief of affected citizens, as well as the reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure.

Prime Minister Shah stated that government agencies had been mobilised to their full capacity to protect the lives and property of citizens in the disaster-affected areas, ensure easy access to relief supplies and support rehabilitation efforts.

PM Shah holds meeting with chiefs of security agencies

Prime Minister Balendra Shah today convened a series of important discussions with the chiefs of various security agencies to tackle the challenges posed by the recent flooding of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

According to Dipa Dahal, the Prime Minister’s Press and Research Adviser, PM Shah recently received a briefing from Chief of Army Staff, General Ashok Raj Sigdel, regarding the ongoing search, rescue, and relief efforts, as well as management strategies.
