Under the partnership, Himal Dental Hospital will provide preferential and discounted dental services to eligible members of Pustantaran Care. The partnership will cover services including dental consultation and examination, oral-health screening, scaling and oral prophylaxis, preventive and restorative care, dentures and prosthetic services, periodontal care and oral surgery, among other services provided by the hospital.
The two organizations will also work together to raise awareness among senior citizens about oral hygiene, gum disease, tooth loss, denture care, nutrition and the importance of regular dental check-ups. They will explore special outreach initiatives for elderly people with limited mobility.
Speaking on the occasion, Pratibedan Baidya said the partnership is an important step toward ensuring that oral health becomes an integral part of dignified aging in Nepal. “Healthy aging is not only about managing chronic diseases; oral health is equally important for nutrition, communication, confidence and quality of life. This partnership will help senior citizens access dental care with greater affordability, respect and dignity.”
Under the agreement, both organizations will coordinate dental camps and awareness programmes, facilitate access to services, explore resource mobilization and periodically review the effectiveness of their collaboration.
