Nepal clinches ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2026 defeating UAE

Kathmandu / Sept.12: Nepal has clinched ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2026 defeating United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 44 runs in the final match played at Kuala Lumpur-based Bayuemas Oval Cricket Ground in Malaysia.
Aasif Sheikh hit 102 in 106 balls meanwhile Gulsan Jha scored 52 runs in 38 balls to put formidable target of 314 runs in the score board. Ishan Pandey scored 13 runs in 20 balls, Rohit Paudel scored 40 runs in 44 balls, Dipendra Singh Airee scored 18 runs in 18 balls, Sundeep Jora 7 runs in 5 balls, karan KC scored 1 run in 2 balls. However, Basir Ahamad scored unbeaten 15 runs playing only 4 balls. Lalit Rajbanshi added 1 runs in the scored board playing 1 ball.
Ibrar Ahmad took 4 wickets, Khuzaima Tanveer took 2 wickets, Haider Ali took 1 wicket and Adeeb Usmani took 1 wicket.
Chasing the a target of 314 runs set out by Nepal, UAE batting line got all out scoring 269 runs in 49.1 overs. Rahul Chopra hit unbeaten century, while Sohaib Khan hit 52 runs in 57 balls. Besides, Tanish Suri scored 42 runs in 28 balls, Adeeb Usmani scored 6 runs in 10 balls, Captain Harpreet Singh scored 33 runs in 41 balls, Aayan Afzal Khan scored 9 runs in 19 balls, Khuzaima Tanveer scored 15 runs in 18 balls, Ibrar Ahmad scored 1 runs in 2 balls.
Aasif Sheikh is awarded player of the match and Nepal’s Captain Sandeep Lamichhane awarded player of the series for taking 17 wickets in the tournament .
