Cabinet approves Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Regulations

Kathmandu / Oct 5: The government has decided to accept grant assistance of around Rs 100 million to be received from the Norwegian government for a programme aiming at promoting clean energy transformation in municipalities.

A Cabinet meeting held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singhadurbar

The government has approved the Nepal Engineering Service (Formation and Division of Group and Class and Appointment) (Second Amendment) Rules, 2026.

Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokhrel informed that the government has also approved the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Regulations, 2026.

The Cabinet has decided to send the report presented by a committee, chaired by former Justice Baburam Regmi, to the Ministry of Home Affairs for necessary action.

The Committee looked into whether criminal cases filed against Gen-Z protestors could be withdrawn or not and furnished recommendations to that end.

The meeting also decided to promote Joint Secretary Padma Kumar Mainali to the secretary towards the Nepal Engineering Service Group and assign him at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development. RSS
