Gagan Thapa files his candidacy for NC President; 7,114 representatives confirmed as voters

Kathmandu / Oct 6: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has filed his candidacy for the post of party president during the ongoing 15th General Convention.

Upon reaching the City Hall Tuesday, Thapa filed his nomination. The Election Committee of the party had extended the nomination deadline till 7:00 pm Tuesday.

NC’s 15th General Convention: 7,114 representatives confirmed as voters

Kathmandu, Oct 6: The final list of representatives to participate in the election under the ongoing 15th General Convention of Nepali Congress has been published. Member-secretary of the NC General Convention central election committee, Raju Katuwal, informed about the publication of the final voter list.

The updated list has confirmed voters’ number at 7,114.

Member-secretary Katuwal further shared that following the publication of final voter list, the time for filing of claim and objection over the list is allocated till 9:30am, while review of these claims and objections would be held from 9:30am to 10:30am.

The election committee said that the candidacy filing was slated from 12:30pm and 4:00pm today. It is said the NC has mobilized over 200 volunteers for General Convention. RSS
