SC moved against careless use of advisors and aides
Kathmandu / January 18: A writ petition was filed at the Supreme Court on Monday demanding an order from the apex body disallowing the keeping of advisors and aides against existing legal practices by the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers.
The writ registered by advocates Kalpit Parajuli and Ananda Koirala have made Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs as defendants in the case.
It has been argued in the writ that the top office-bearers have been keeping advisors and aides unscrupulously against law during tenure in the government.
The writ petition states that the a clear and adequate legal arrangements are not in place on subject pertaining to the allowances, qualification, work, responsibility and rights of the advisors and aides kept by PM, DPMs and ministers resulting in the misuse of state coffers while downgrading public confidence in the government.
