Health Minister urges health workers to correct behaviour
Kathmandu / February 27: Minister for Health Ramjanam Chaudhary has said that the half ailments of any patient would be cured if the health workers corrected their conduct.
At a programme organized by the Ministry on the occasion of the World Health Day today, Minister Chaudhary stressed on correcting the behaviours of the doctors and health workers while treating the patients adding that most of them were found harsh and rude in this case.
Similarly, Minister of State for Health Mohammed Mustak Alam said that free health service system was extended up to 70 per cent from 40 per cent aimed at providing health services to all.
Chief Secretary of the government Dr Som Lal Subedi opined for decentralizing the health service as it was centered around the urban areas.
On the occasion, Dr Roshan Neupane of the Myagdi District Hospital was felicitated with Rs 100,000 prize for his best performance. Likewise, staff nurse in Gorkha district hospital Santoshi Shrestha, senior health assistant Dilip Chaudhary at Sunsari district health office (DHO), Sunsari, Kailash Kumar Gupta of Terhathum DHOand Dr Sharad Chandra Baral of Accham DHO were honoured with the health service prize carrying a purse of Rs. 50,000 RSS
