Thapa wins Pokhara Int’l Marathon; APF’s Parki clinches CoAS Open Marathon

Pokhara-marathoonPokhara / March 5: The Armed Police Force (APF) athlete, Narayan Thapa, has finished as the winner of the Safal Pokhara International Marathon held today from Ex-sportsmen Forum of Nepal, Pokhara.

Mixan Tamang from Bhojpur finished as the first-runner up while APF’s Khim Bahadur Khatri ended the race as the second-runner up.

The top three finishers were provided cash prizes of Rs 60,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively and a certificate each.

Meanwhile, the Armed Police Force (APF) athlete, Gopichandra Parki, today clinched the 42.195 km long ‘CoAS First Open Marathon’ which saw participation of around 4,000 contenders.

In the marathon which started and ended at the Nepal Army Headquarters’ ground, NA’s Rajan Khatri finished the race as the first-runner up while NA’s Homlal Shrestha finished as the second-runner up. RSS
