Mountaineer Pandit to scale the highest peak in Europe
Kathmandu, March 17: Mountaineer Sanjaya Pandit, who is in a record setting spree in mountaineering, is going to ascend the highest peak in Europe-Mount Elbrus.
Pandit is planning to observe the upcoming Nepali New Year, that falls on 13th April, on this mountain made out after a volcano eruption. Also an ultra marathon runner, Pandit is leaving for Russia to climb this 5,643 metres tall mountain located at Caucasus mountain range.
He has already ascended the highest peak in the world Mount Everest along with Mount Manaslu and the highest peak in Australia Mount Kosciuszko among others.
In 2015, he set a record by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro backward. Pandit is aspiring to ascend all seven highest peaks of seven continents, collectively known as the Seven Summit. RSS
