Locals joining hands to respond to natural disaster

Baglung / June 16: Local stakeholders have joined their hands together to respond to the imminent natural disaster during the rainy season.

All the stakeholders made their commitments in the Wednesday meeting of District Natural Disaster Relief Committee.

Representatives from government offices, security agencies, social organizations, entrepreneur and journalists pledged to keep their instruments in ready position to cope with natural disaster.

Committee Chairperson and Chief District Officer Bhagirath Pandey said that the preparatory works to keep monsoon early warning system in place are being made as per the Disaster Response Plan.

He said that circular has been already issued to all government offices, agencies and subordinating bodies for post disaster resuce, relief and rehabilitation. RSS
