Japan Football Association kicks off ‘Goalkeeping Course’
Kathmandu / Aug 24: Japan Football Association (JFA) has kicked off a five-day ‘Goalkeeping Course’ for Nepali goalkeepers at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato from today.
Twenty-two youth goalkeepers are attending the course. Coach at the National Training Centre at Hokkaido, Japan, Ogata Gyosuke, is providing the training. Gyosuke is an expert goalkeeping trainer to youths.
Among the Nepali trainees are Ujjawal Manandhar, Chakra Tamang, Raju Singh Maharjan, Chhanuram Chaudhary, Nabin Maharjan, Ajaya Maharjan, Shailesh Karmacharya, Binid Dangol, Sushmita Rai and Namita Kumari Dali.
Also taking the course are Amrit Chaudhary, Roshan Shrestha, Dinesh Prajapati, Ram Kumar, Sanjib Kahdgi, Chandra Devi Dahal, Ganga Ram Deuja, Roshan Khadka, Prabin Shrestha, Santosh Tiwari, Bikesh Kuthu and Bishal Shrestha. Many among the trainees are in the national team and similar standard.
Vice President of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Karma Chhiring Sherpa, speaking at the training inauguration, said that it is a matter of great opportunity for the Nepali players to take training from a Japanese coach and urged the trainees to make the most out of the training.
Trainer Gyosuk stated that he was familiar with Nepal and the Nepali football in the last 35 years while expressing the commitment to making the training successful. RSS
