Canada – Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Association formed

NRN CanadaKathmandu / Oct 5: The Canada – Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Association has been formed.

The association was formed with participation of the members from Canada’s Lower House of Commons and Upper House or the Senate, according to the Nepali Embassy in Ottawa, Canada.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jivan Bahadur Shahi, who is presently in Canada in course of taking part in the 39th General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal of Canada, said the formation of the association would broaden the interactive mutual relations between the two countries’ parliaments and contribute towards promoting bilateral trade, investment and tourism.

He said the country pursued the path to economic development of the country following political stability after the promulgation of the constitution.

Likewise, Nepali ambassador Kali Prasad Pokharel to Canada thanked all members of parliament of Canadian government and the senate members for helping in his efforts to form the association.

Minister Shahi is scheduled to return home on October 7. RSS
