7th national sports begins tomorrow

Biratnagar / Dec 22: The 7th National Sports meet is being held in the eastern region, beginning Friday.
A total 1,035 medals including 294 gold, 294 silver and 447 bronze will be up for grabs during the week-long tournament. A total of 3,972 athletes are competing in the mega event.
Shedding light on the tournament at a press meet here today, Minister for Youth and Sports Daljit Sirpaili said the event would be instrumental in promoting sports as well as finding talented athletes.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to inaugurate the tournament amid a grand function to be held at local Sahid stadium, according to the organizers. RSS
